    In Review

In the comparison of the Nvidia RTX 3000 and RTX 4000 series, the new RTX 4000 series shows a significant increase in hashrate on GPU-dependent algorithms like Kaspa. This can be attributed to major improvements made to the GPU in the RTX 4000 series.

However, the RTX 4070, despite its more advanced GDDR6X memory and larger 12GB size (compared to the RTX 3070’s 8GB), has a narrower 192-bit memory bus, compared to the 256-bit bus in the RTX 3000 series. This has resulted in similar hashrates for memory-dependent algorithms like Ethash and ETChash, though with lower power consumption.

For GPU-dependent algorithms, the RTX 4070 and the entire RTX 4000 series represent a good choice in terms of price-to-hashrate ratio. However, for ETHash algorithms and its derivatives, the RTX 4070 doesn’t fare as well when considering its price relative to last year’s RTX 3070 and the RTX 3070 Ti.

For those who can find the RTX 4090 at a good price and can handle its higher heat output, this graphics card is not only the ultimate mining solution but also one of the most profitable in terms of return on investment.
