RunPod’s Secure Cloud GPU Rates Have Risen: H100 SXM Now $3.99 an Hour, B200 $7.99, a Tracker Reports

A GPU price tracker, GPU Economy, says RunPod raised 12 of its 29 on-demand Secure Cloud GPU rates on 8 October 2026 [1]. RunPod’s pricing page now shows the higher prices [2]. RunPod made no announcement that we could find, so the timing and the old prices rest on the tracker.

The new rates

RunPod sells two tiers, Secure Cloud and Community Cloud; on its listings the Community rates are lower. Prices are in US dollars per GPU per hour, on demand, meaning pay as you go. GPU Economy reports [1]:

GPUBeforeNowChange
H100 SXM$3.49$3.99+14.3%
H200$4.59$5.29+15.3%
B200$6.79$7.99+17.7%
B300$7.89$8.99+13.9%

The H100, H200, B200 and B300 are Nvidia data-centre chips used to train and run AI models. The tracker says the 12 rises came “between our reads of October 8, 2026 at 15:41 and 16:41 UTC”, which is 16:41 and 17:41 in London. It also computes that one H100 SXM running for a 730-hour month went from $2,547.70 to $2,912.70.

What did not change

The tracker says “None of the 35 Community Cloud on-demand rates changed in the same read”: the H100 SXM there stayed at $2.69 and the B200 at $5.98 [1].

What RunPod’s page shows

RunPod’s pricing page lists $3.99/hr for the H100 SXM, $7.99/hr for the B200, $5.29/hr for the H200 and $8.99/hr for the B300 [2]. But the page is labelled “Updated September 27, 2026”, which does not match the tracker’s 8 October timing. The page’s hidden structured data, the code search engines read, still lists the old Secure Cloud prices, such as $3.49 for the H100 SXM [2]. The tracker says it read RunPod’s public API, and that on 9 October the page’s own markup still carried $3.49 [1]. That fits what we see.

What this does not show

  • A RunPod announcement. We found none, and no reason for the rises.
  • When RunPod made the change. The tracker reads hourly and gives a one-hour window.
  • Other providers’ prices. This covers RunPod only.
  • Every region or product. Serverless and cluster pricing are not covered.
