Crypto Casino Gamdom Takes All Its Systems Offline After Finding an “Unauthorized Connection”

Gamdom, an online casino that takes payments in cryptocurrency, has taken all its systems offline after finding what it called an “unauthorized connection” on one of its servers. It says user funds are safe. Gamdom has not said whether any money was lost, and it has not confirmed a hack or theft.

The company first posted on 13 October 2026: “We’re currently offline, will be back up and running soon,” via @gamdom on X. It gave no reason at the time.

Early on 14 October it explained more, via @gamdom on X: “Approximately 24 hours ago, we detected a potential disk failure on one of our servers. During our investigation, we identified an unauthorized connection on one of our automation servers, which prompted further investigation.”

“As a precautionary measure, we made the difficult decision to take all of our systems offline in order to fully assess the situation and protect our users,” Gamdom said. “User funds are safe.” It said it is working to restore services and will give updates.

What the blockchain shows

FairGambling, a site that tracks crypto casinos’ wallets, reported that Gamdom’s hot wallets (the accounts a casino uses to pay out withdrawals) held $10.5 million on 12 October and about $76,000 on 13 October.

According to FairGambling, about two hours before Gamdom went offline, its hot wallets on five blockchains (Ethereum, Solana, BNB Chain, Tron and the XRP Ledger) sent “more than $2.3 million” to five wallets, “at least four of them brand new”.

FairGambling said the receiving Ethereum wallet quickly swapped its USDT and USDC stablecoins into DAI. The companies behind USDT and USDC can freeze coins in a wallet; DAI has no built-in freeze function.

FairGambling said the transfers raise questions only Gamdom can answer: whether it authorised the payments, who controls the five wallets and whether player balances are safe. Gamdom has not given a loss total. While the site is down, players cannot reach their balances.

What this means

  • Not confirmed as a hack. Gamdom describes an unauthorized connection, not a theft.
  • Watch the wallets. Funds moved to new wallets, but it is not clear who controls them.
  • Players are locked out. Balances cannot be withdrawn until Gamdom is back online.
