AZIO AI Holdings (Nasdaq: AZIO) says it has signed a hosting agreement with Power Champion Investment Limited at Atlas One, its South Texas campus. Power Champion has contracted 10 MW, with rights to grow to 50 MW. AZIO announced it in a company press release dated 9 October 2026 [1][2]. No capacity is energized and no start date is set.
Confirmed that AZIO announced it. The money figures are company estimates.
What was signed
In a hosting agreement, one company supplies space, power and network links, and the customer brings its own computers, here AI GPU processors [1].
- Capacity charge: a fee for power set aside, $150.00 per kW per month, payable only on capacity “actually delivered and made available” [1].
- Energized capacity: power connected and ready to use. Nothing is charged on capacity not yet energized [1].
- Energy: a fixed $0.13 per kWh plus pass-through charges, on top of the capacity charge [1].
- Term: 60 months from when AZIO says the first 10 MW is ready, with a 99.9% annualized power availability commitment [1].
The numbers, checked
AZIO estimates “approximately $90 million in capacity reservation charges over the Initial Term” [1]. TSN’s check: 10,000 kW x $150 x 60 months = $90 million. The same sum for 50 MW gives $450 million, which AZIO says “could total” that much only if expansion is exercised in full and all of it is built and energized [1]. Neither has happened. TSN’s reading: extra capacity would arrive in phases, so $450 million is a ceiling.
CEO Chris Young: “Ten megawatts is what Power Champion has contracted for today. Fifty megawatts is the ceiling the agreement allows them to grow into, and getting there depends on generation, permitting, capital and their own export approvals — none of which we take for granted.” [1] He also said: “Power is the constraint on AI.” [1]
Why 10 versus 50 matters
Ten MW is the commitment. Fifty MW is only a right to request more, subject to available capacity, finished infrastructure, an amendment and AZIO’s written confirmation. That is a five-fold gap in the charges [1].
What is not yet in place
- Power. Atlas One is engineered for “up to 500 MW of planned behind-the-meter power capacity”, meaning on-site generation, not the public grid. About 11 MW is secured and about 6 MW activated [1].
- Start date. Site work is incomplete; no Commencement Date is set [1].
- Export approvals. AZIO’s obligations depend on Power Champion obtaining US approvals, including from the Bureau of Industry and Security, for its GPUs [1].
- Exit rights. Power Champion has 180 days to terminate, but only if an engineer it hires finds 10 MW cannot be delivered. AZIO may deliver at an alternative site [1].
What TSN could not verify
Who Power Champion is (a website under the same legal name lists a Taipei address [3]), its export-approval status, whether the promised 8-K exists, and AZIO’s finances. A separate July agreement with Power Champion covers a different site, and the GPU sales pipeline is “not additive” [1].
