On 8 October 2026 Bitdeer AI, part of the Nasdaq-listed Bitdeer group, announced an 8-year agreement for a 60MW data centre in Cyberjaya, Malaysia. The same release says no customer has yet committed to use any of it.
What the company announced
Confirmed that Bitdeer announced it; the figures are the company’s own. Bitdeer AI calls itself “an AI neocloud service provider and preferred NVIDIA Cloud Partner” [1]. A neocloud is a firm that rents out AI computing. It says it has “entered into an 8-year data center services agreement for A103, a 60MW AI Cloud data center facility” on its existing Cyberjaya campus [1].
The building is “designed for liquid-cooled, rack-scale NVIDIA systems, including the next-generation NVIDIA Vera Rubin platform, with energization expected in the first quarter of 2028” [1]. Energization means switching on the power supply. With A101 and A102, the campus would reach “approximately 71.5MW” [1]. All megawatt figures are “critical IT load”, meaning power for the computing equipment itself [1].
The “95%” claim
Bitdeer says its secured capacity, “capacity owned or under an executed data center services agreement”, “totals approximately 333.5MW across facilities in Malaysia, Norway and the United States”, about 95% of its “up to 350MW” target for the first quarter of 2028 [1]. “Secured” means the buildings are lined up, not that anyone has bought the computing.
No customer yet
The release’s small print says: “No offtake commitments have been entered into with respect to A103 capacity as of the date of this press release.” [1] An offtake commitment is a customer agreeing to take the capacity. The release also gives a pipeline “estimated to exceed $10 billion”, which it calls management’s estimate and says “is not backlog, revenue, an executed contract or a binding commitment” [1]. It is not a $10 billion deal.
What this does not show
The release does not give a contract value, the facility’s owner or counterparty, any GPU purchase or how the work is financed. For comparison, TSN covered CoreWeave’s 240 MW plan in India, also built around Vera Rubin, and the earlier Malaysia and India plans of AM Intelligence.
