DigiCo Signs a 15-Year, 71MW Contract at SYD1 With an Unnamed Global Technology Firm

DigiCo Infrastructure REIT (ASX: DGT) has signed a 15-year contract for 71 megawatts of capacity at its SYD1 data centre in Sydney with a global technology firm that DigiCo says is supported by investment-grade credit backing. The deal, announced on 15 October 2026, takes SYD1 to 100% contracted across 88MW of total capacity. DigiCo did not name the customer.

What the contract covers

The 71MW agreement includes reallocating 20MW of previously contracted capacity to the new customer. The remaining 17MW at SYD1 is leased to co-location customers.

DigiCo says the contract lifts the weighted average lease expiry of its Australian portfolio from about three years to more than 10 years, with weighted average annual escalations of about 3%.

“Execution of the 71MW contract at SYD1 is a key milestone for DGT, taking the site to 100% contracted across 88MW of total capacity,” said Simon Mitchell, DigiCo’s co-head and chief financial officer. “The 15-year agreement with a global technology firm provides long-term earnings visibility, supported by investment grade credit backing.”

Expansion and guidance

DigiCo has also locked in a fixed-price design-and-construct contract for a 52MW expansion at SYD1, with Shape Australia as head contractor and Laing O’Rourke as delivery partner. The first 10MW is expected in late Q4 FY27, with the balance in FY28. DigiCo says the expansion is funded without new equity.

The company reaffirmed FY27 underlying EBITDA guidance of A$120–125 million.

What this means

  • SYD1 is fully leased on DigiCo’s numbers. The unnamed customer deal fills the site to 88MW contracted.
  • The tenant is anonymous. DigiCo describes a global technology firm with investment-grade credit support and does not identify it.
  • Earnings visibility lengthens. DigiCo ties the contract to a much longer Australian portfolio lease term and unchanged FY27 EBITDA guidance.
