Tech for Good: AI, Health, Science and Safety

Illustration of a delivery drone carrying a first aid kit, a rescue robot, a laboratory with a glowing protein model and wind turbines on a coast at dusk

Technology is not only a story of risk. TSN tracks how AI, robotics, cyber defence and other tools are being used to improve lives: in health and medicine, in science, in climate and clean energy, in keeping people safe from scams and fraud, and in widening access for people with disabilities.

This hub brings that coverage together. It includes AI that designs proteins and searches for new medicines, models that read routine tissue slides, longer range weather forecasts, new sources of clean power, AI glasses that describe artworks to blind and partially sighted visitors, and coordinated takedowns of scam networks by technology companies and police.

We report these stories honestly. Many results are early, self-reported or not yet tested in patients, and we say so. Where a claim comes only from a company, we label it as the company’s claim. This hub does not cover weapons or military technology, and TSN never glorifies them.
