SpaceXSI Bundles Grok, Grok Bot, Cursor and X Premium Into One “X Subscription”

CONFIRMED: Based on SpaceXSI’s own announcement. TechCrunch’s report is used as a secondary source and is labelled REPORTED.

SpaceXSI, the company behind Grok, has launched The X Subscription, a single plan that covers Grok, Grok Bot, the Cursor coding tool and X Premium [1].

Until now these were separate subscriptions. The company says the new plan “brings together Grok, Grok Bot, Cursor, and X Premium in one plan” and that it is “available to new customers starting today”, with wider access “over the next few days” [1].

What each product does

  • Grok is the AI assistant for chat, voice, and image and video generation [1].
  • Grok Bot gives users “AI teammates that get work done” [1].
  • Cursor provides “local and cloud coding agents” for writing software [1].
  • X Premium adds a checkmark, creator tools and fewer ads on X. Higher tiers remove ads from the timeline completely [1].

The company’s claim: SpaceXSI says the $30 Premium plan gives the benefits that were “previously $90/month combined” [1]. That is the company’s own comparison; TSN has not priced the old plans separately.

How the shared usage works

Paid plans come with one pool of Grok model usage that works across Grok and Cursor. It covers the Grok apps, the Grok tab on X and Cursor [1].

  • The allowance refreshes weekly, “so one heavy day never wipes out your whole month” [1].
  • You can spend the whole pool on one product if you want [1].
  • If you run out, you can buy top-ups or wait for the refresh [1].
  • SpaceXSI says each plan includes “at least twice as much coding usage with our models as the comparable Cursor plan” [1].
  • Other companies’ AI models are still available in Cursor on Premium and above, but they are “billed separately at API list prices” through top-ups [1].

TechCrunch reports that Premium or higher is needed to use the latest Grok models (REPORTED) [2].

If you already pay for Grok, Cursor or X

Nothing changes unless you choose to switch, the company says [1].

  • You can keep your current plan, price and features.
  • If you switch, your old plans end with “a prorated refund” for unused time, and the new plan starts straight away.
  • The option appears in your billing settings when it reaches your account.
  • The old plans are no longer open to new sign-ups. SpaceXSI says it will eventually move remaining customers to the new plans, but there is “no timeline yet” and it will give advance notice [1].

Teams

Team seats cost the same as individual plans: $30, $100 or $200 per seat. The company says they include single sign-on (SSO), admin controls, combined billing, usage reports and SOC 2 compliance, a common security audit standard [1].

What this means

  • One bill, one pool. People who use Grok and Cursor no longer need two AI subscriptions; usage is shared between them.
  • The $90 comparison is the company’s. The saving depends on whether you would have paid for all three products.
  • Existing subscribers can wait. There is no deadline to switch yet.
