XPENG Puts IRON Humanoid Robot’s European Rollout in the Second Half of 2027

REPORTED / CEO STATEMENT: The timetable comes from a slide XPENG CEO He Xiaopeng showed at the company’s Paris Night event, as described by trade press. XPENG has not published it in a press release.

XPENG plans to roll out its IRON humanoid robot in Europe in the second half of 2027, according to a slide presented by founder and CEO He Xiaopeng at the company’s Paris Night event on Sunday 11 October, the eve of the Paris Motor Show [1][2][3]. EV (eletric-vehicles.com) reported that it is the first time the company has given a European timetable for the robot [1]. (REPORTED)

According to the reports, the slide set out three milestones [1][2][3] (CEO STATEMENT, REPORTED):

• Mass production in “late 2026”.
• Deliveries beginning in the “first half of 2027”.
• A “European Rollout” in the “second half of 2027”.

XPENG did not say which European countries would come first, how the robot would be sold, or at what price [1][2][3]. (REPORTED)

What XPENG said before

In its 8 September release on commissioning IRON’s production lines, XPENG gave a year but no region: “Official market launch and delivery in China and overseas markets are planned for 2027” [4]. It said the robots were “scheduled to enter mass production by the end of this year”, with initial commercial rollouts “in XPENG’s own stores and campuses” [4]. (CONFIRMED, company release)

The same release said core process automation on the lines exceeds 80%, and described the robot as having “76 degrees of freedom (DOF) across the body and 21 in each hand” and “three Turing AI chips delivering up to 2,250 TOPS” [4]. It also said XPENG’s robotics business raised “over US$900 million at a post-money valuation of over US$6.3 billion” in agreements signed on 24 August [4].
