smart showed the production version of its all-electric two-seat city car, the smart #2, for the first time at the Paris Motor Show on 12 October [1]. The company says early ordering will begin in Europe and China [1].

smart says these figures are for the European car, are “subject to final homologation” and may change; it will publish official figures once EU homologation is complete [1]. Homologation is the official type-approval process a car must pass before it can be sold.
Trims and Couture Edition
In Europe, the car will first come in three trims: Pure, Pure+ and Premium, plus a limited Couture Edition [1]. In China it will be shown in Premium and Couture Edition versions [1].
The Couture Edition is limited to 999 units in Europe and 999 units in China [1]. It has a matte white body, a gold-coloured roof and 16-inch wheels, and in Europe it comes with the full Premium specification [1].
Price
Electrek and CarNewsChina report a starting price of EUR 19,990 in Europe [2][3]. smart’s global release says “pricing … will be communicated locally” for each market [1].
