Grok Bot’s official account on X has announced a new kind of output: documents meant to keep going after the first draft. “Grok Bot can now build reports, memos, and dashboards,” the account posted at 20:42 BST on 21 October. “Ask Bot for a page, then edit it together or have Bot keep it up to date.”
That is close to the whole announcement. The post, via @bot on X, carries a 27-second video clip, but no link to a blog post, help page or release notes. Grok Bot’s public changelog showed no matching entry when TSN checked on Wednesday evening; its latest release is still v0.71.2, dated 14 October.

What the post leaves out
Two ideas sit in that second sentence. One is joint editing: the user and the bot work on the same page. The other is upkeep: the bot can be asked to keep a page current after it is first made. The post does not explain how either works.
It also gives no information on availability, which plans include the feature, pricing, or whether it is rolling out to everyone at once. There is no mention of templates, of which data sources a dashboard can draw on, of how often a page that Grok Bot “keeps up to date” is refreshed, or of whether finished reports can be shared outside the app. Until there is documentation, those questions are open.
Pages already exist in the app
The word “page” is not new to Grok Bot. Its changelog entry for version 0.70.2, released on 11 October, says “Canvases and documents are both labeled Page”, lets users rename a page from its title, and adds a title bar to shared pages with “Download, which saves a PDF, plus Try Grok Bot for visitors and Share for the owner.” A week earlier, version 0.68.1 said bots “can build slide decks with you” and deliver them “as PowerPoint files or Google Slides.”
The @bot post does not say whether reports, memos and dashboards are built on those page features, or whether the sharing and PDF download options apply to them. It seems likely the two are connected, given the shared vocabulary, but the company has not said so.
SpaceX says business customers are growing fastest
The timing follows SpaceX’s first usage figure for the product. On its third-quarter earnings call on 20 October, president Gwynne Shotwell said Grok Bot had 800,000 paid weekly users earlier this month, more than double a month before, TSN reported. She called business customers the fastest-growing category, “with companies increasingly using Grok Bot as a force multiplier across sales, marketing, IT, and engineering”.
The new announcement makes no reference to those customers, or to teams at all. For now, the phrase in the post that promises the most, a bot that will “keep it up to date”, is also the one with nothing yet written down behind it.
